Program Overview

Mission Statement

Show Stoppers Academy is dedicated to empowering youth for a brighter tomorrow through sports and education. We believe in developing the whole child through comprehensive programs that combine athletic training with academic support, character development, and life skills education.

501(c)(3) Status

Show Stoppers Academy is a registered 501(c)(3) charitable corporation. All donations are tax-deductible to the full extent allowed by law. Our tax ID number is available upon request for tax purposes.

Student Expectations

Academic Standards

  • Maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5
  • Attend all scheduled tutoring sessions
  • Complete homework assignments on time
  • Participate actively in educational workshops
  • Communicate academic challenges with staff

Behavioral Expectations

  • Show respect to coaches, tutors, staff, and fellow students
  • Follow all safety guidelines during activities
  • Use appropriate language and maintain professional conduct
  • Arrive on time for all scheduled activities
  • Dress appropriately for all program activities

Attendance Policy

  • Students must attend at least 80% of scheduled sessions
  • Absences must be reported 24 hours in advance when possible
  • Excessive absences may result in program review
  • Make-up sessions are available for excused absences

Family Commitments

Parent/Guardian Responsibilities

  • Ensure student attendance at all scheduled activities
  • Support student's academic and athletic goals
  • Maintain open communication with program staff
  • Attend parent meetings and program events when possible
  • Provide accurate emergency contact information
  • Support the program's mission and values at home

Communication Protocol

  • Staff will provide regular updates on student progress
  • Parents should communicate any concerns promptly
  • Emergency situations should be reported immediately
  • Program changes will be communicated in advance

Financial Commitments

  • Program fees are due by the 1st of each month
  • Payment plans are available for families in need
  • Scholarships are available based on financial need
  • Late fees may apply for payments received after the 15th

Safety Policies

General Safety Guidelines

  • All participants must follow staff instructions at all times
  • Appropriate athletic equipment must be worn during sports activities
  • No unauthorized persons allowed in program areas
  • Emergency procedures are posted in all program areas
  • First aid supplies are available and staff are trained in basic first aid

Medical Information

  • All participants must have current medical information on file
  • Medications must be properly labeled and stored
  • Injuries must be reported to staff immediately
  • Emergency contacts must be current and accessible

Background Checks

  • All staff and volunteers undergo background checks
  • Staff receive regular training on child safety
  • Incident reports are documented and reviewed
  • Confidentiality is maintained for all student information
